A TOUR OF THE SEA OF CORTES by LEWIS WAYNE WALKER

Over 14 minutes long, in Spanish & English with wildlife and other field recordings.
As far as we can discern, this is a unqiue, one-off, custom-pressed recording, perhaps the only existing copy, providing a unique insight into tourism, cultural relations, and wildlife over 50 years ago!
Record is in great EX shape — Barely Used, With custom (glued-on) labels.
Cover is EX, with glued-on B&W slicks with minor stains.
Tape (Mexican flag colors) and some white-out seem intentional by the artist.
The glue is worn out and the labels are detached; the rear cover beginning to peel. These can easily be glued-on again, but we’ll leave that to the buyer’s discretion.
With renowned naturalist LEWIS WAYNE WALKER:
Possibly the first efforts to protect the islands of the Sea of Cortés started in 1951 with the publication of Lewis Wayne Walker's popular paper on the sea birds of Isla Rasa in the National Geographic. Walker was at that time a researcher at the San Diego Natural History Museum, and later became Associate Director at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. He was very knowledgeable on the natural history of the region, and possessed first-hand field experience in Baja California and the islands of the Sea of Cortés, especially on Isla Rasa. He wrote many popular articles on the natural history of the region, and through these publications he popularized the plight of Isla Rasa (Walker 1951, 1965).
Interestingly, the cover slicks are pasted over an old cover for a Sound Tour from the Arizona Desert Museum — which was recoreded by the Trumbulls and where Walker worked!
