Description
THE CURE - LAMENT, Red Flexi-Disc, One Sided 7" Single 1982, Stereo 33 RPM, Lyntone London, LYN 12011, Flexipop 022, White Paper Sleeve, Rare.
This early version of "Lament" was recorded exclusively for Flexipop Magazine and was given away with issue number 22. This flexi-disc version is very different from the version later found on "The Walk" 12" single and "Japanese Whispers". It was recorded by Robert Smith and Steve Severin as a one-off at Garden Studios in London. The majority of these flexi-discs were green, but some red copies were also issued and consequently are considerably more rarer.
These flexi-discs are known to be difficult to play and so it seems the best way to play them is by placing on top of a 7" vinyl single and if needed to adjust the weight of the arm so that it is slightly heavier at the needle end.
Very good condition. Some small light indentations and scuff marks. Plays perfectly. Please see photos.
