Description
This is an early 1960's US copy, with Van Gelder stamp in dead wax and complete with original inner sleeve. Record looks fantastic for age, almost NM with no obvious signs of mistreatment and I think it would be hard to find a better looking copy of this issue. The sleeve is showing signs of age so it's not like the Chad AS Stoughton gloss and has a pen mark on the inside of the gatefold.
The record has been ultrasonically cleaned using a Degritter machine, which cleans the record but will not repair any pressing "anomalies" that are common to records of this era - so please don't expect 2024 QRP pressing quality.
Update: on a sample test play the record plays with a few clicks/glitches/pops which tend to be on the left or right ie not both at the same time like a scratch typically sounds. Which is not untypical in my experience of 1960’s US Impulse records.
Note: ultrasonic cleaning can dislodge but may not totally remove whatever is found in the grooves of new records and collect on the stylus, but is easily removed and the cleaning process gives enhanced fidelity compared to an uncleaned record.
