Description
Wet Dream was the first of only two Richard Wright solo albums and was self-produced. Wright wrote all the songs himself, except "Against the Odds", which was co-written with his then-wife, Juliette, who, as Juliette Gale, had been a member of one of the early bands that evolved into Pink Floyd.
The album went virtually unnoticed at the time of release. The album has long been out of print in Wright's native UK, but it was re-released on CD in the United States and Canada in the 1990s, with some success, and again in 2008 in Australia, following Wright's death. This has become a rare vinyl album to buy within the UK.
The vinyl is rated Very Good condition. There is some surface noise (crackles) on both sides on the softer passages. See grading below. The gatefold cover sleeve is in Very Good Plus condition.
Very Good (VG) Vinyl
Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time.
