Description

BB first entered the market place winter '68. This copy comes just 12 months later for the Xmas'69 market. Heavy-set. The new boxed label has just been designed and this is one of the 1st copies. Can be found during late '68 and through out '69 on the original unboxed label with 1k and 2k endings. This is a 2k/3k so it comes immediately afterward. The cover, interestingly, mimics the very earliest copies because it is the original design with patents pending [see pics]. This is, in fact, a print error really because patents were obtained 12months earlier! And is a hint that this is one of the earliest boxed copies to hit the market place. No mention of the new printer..Robert Stace yet. Why is this important to the buyer..because you are getting a late '69 copy at a sensible price an a super player. You re-wind just one-month and the unboxed copies that are 'great'...will be much more expensive. if  you think you've heard 'Expectations' before - think again. YOU HAVEN'T - until you hear it on an early clean copy. THIS COPY TOTALLY NAILES IT - PERFECT. An original Decca blue and white Decca inner from the mid-seventies.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen lightest use. Great Lustre. TOTAL CLASS.  A couple of slightest marks per side - practically nothing. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Clean player into all those fussy acoustic tracks. Clean as a whistle and this is particularly important on sections like the opening to SYMPATHY. If you want to hear all that delicate percussion without interference spoiling it - YOU NEED A REALY CLEAN PLAYER. To be frank - I've never heard a better SFTD. And that is quite an accolade. It means the copy is VERY light use and is pretty close to those original pristine masters. HIGHY RECOMMENDED.  The audio is absolutely top dollar...FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) Nice clean surfaces and totally white... really really nice looking. Superb interior. Minimal edge wear in spots and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 95% intact with all text legible and just slight touch of ageing . Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. 
Inner (Vg+) aged a bit. no splits.
