Description

BB first entered the market place winter '68. This copy comes just 12-14 months later for the Xmas'69 winter market. Heavy-set. The new boxed label has just been designed and this is one of the early copies. Matrix 1K/1K. Within months they were up to 3K and 4K's ...so a double 1K is one of those early copies coming immediately after the label design change. If you want further evidence look at the label design - it is a wee bit shoddy. They're yet to put the full-stop in the catalogue number and on side 2 - there is pretty poor alignment throughout. Shoddy! if  you think you've heard 'Expectations' before - think again. YOU HAVEN'T - until you hear it on an early clean copy. THIS COPY TOTALY NAILES IT - PERFECT. An original Decca blue and white Decca inner from the mid-seventies. IF THIS COPY DOESN'T KNOCK YOU CLEAN SIDEWAYS...nothing will...<<<
Vinyl (Ex+) In super condition and has only seen lightest use. Great Lustre. Take a close look at the labels and oom in on that spindle hole...is that for real!.  A couple of slightest marks per side - practically nothing. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback without reservation. Clean player into all those fussy acoustic tracks. Clean as a whistle and this is particularly important on sections like the opening to SYMPATHY. If you want to hear all that delicate percussion without interference spoiling it - YOU NEED A REALY CLEAN PLAYER. To be frank - I've never heard a better SFTD. And that is quite an accolade. It means the copy is VERY light use and is pretty close to those original pristine masters. The audio is absolutely top dollar...FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex/Ex+) Nice clean surfaces and totally white... really really nice looking. Superb interior. Hardly any edge wear and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 95%+ intact with all text legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Superb!
Inner (Ex) Sweet!.. no splits.
