Description

1st press --- and in sought after mono. Why are they so sought after? Because they have that brutish quality, that power and rawness which properly conveys LIB's sinister undertones. This is the version to have.
Genuine unboxed early 1st mono press....and genuine original cover with peephole on rear. Inner sleeve is red mono bespoke LIB version - unredacted.
Vinyl (Ex-/Vg+) In very nice condition despite having seen moderate use. Expect a few marks per side -- a couple are semi-feelable and will just sound.  A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAREXCELLENT  Level of playback with TWO deviations as detailed below.. intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Keep your expectations in check...but...large parts of this record play back GREAT.,.One or two issues -- but nothing that noticeable... E.g. RAMBLER -- in the 1st minute 10-12 ticks.... Would be better without for sure...but it's not distracting really...and the disc has a nice quiet background throughout. I would argue a very small price to pay for THE benchmark Stones collectable. Other than that 6-7 ticks early in VAIN...this is a super fussy track. It plays GREAT...but do expect those minor ticks.
Remember the other reason why these copies are so sought after...the grooves are deep -- they are mono -- and quite forgiving. This copy is still more than capable of delivering some VERY appealing audio. Just make sure your expectations fit with what is a very sought after - and often expensive record.
IN SUMMARY -- only 1 issue...which is not that noticeable... And the rest plays absolutely superb .
Cover (Vg/Vg+) Nice clean front with minimal edge wear....The openings are still sharp. The spine is 95% intact with all text legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Tape has been removed from the edges -- there is some residue still visible....predominantly seen on top edge and opening.. This does tend to drag the grading down a bit -- but in reality this is still a very well preserved original article.
Inner (Vg+) . A bit of foxing in one spot. NO splits.
