Description
This is an excellent condition, very rare, white label LP test pressing Rush "A Farewell To Kings". It was manufactured by Quality Records for Anthem Records Canada in 1977. Test pressings were made in advance of regular pressings for quality control purposes. They were very selectively distributed to record label V.I.P.s and the artist and their management for approval. Very few were produced and most copies were destroyed. They were never made available to the general public. The labels are white Quality Records Test Pressing. One label has "New Rush Do Not Give Away" written with a black ink pen. The other label has no writing on it (see photos) . The record comes in a white cardboard jacket with "Master Test Pressing Rush A Farewell To Kings" written in blue ink. It has had one owner, a former record company executive who has had it filed away since 1977. Very few of these test pressings have survived over the years, especially in this condition
