SAX 2393 T/S label 1ED Klemperer Midsummer Nights Dream

Description

SOUND SAMPLE AUTO STARTED WHEN YOU OPENED THE PAGE, TURN UP THE VOLUME... and have a READ .

NOTE!!!, VERY EARLY PANCAKE PRESS (FLAT EDGE) Stereo copy, MUCH LIKE THE EARLY 33CX MONO SERIES IN THICKNESS AND LOOK.  (VERY INFREQUENTLY SEEN AND LOVELY DYNAMIC SOUND, ALTHOUGH I HAVE NOT GOT A LATER RAISED LIP EDGE PRESSING TO COMPARE IT TO.  These seem to be exclusive to Australia, (someone please tell me if otherwise). and proves this is very early off the UK mother stamper, as all later pressings in Australia would have the raised lip edge.

NM Minus (excellent) OZ LP  NM Minus (excellent) OZ cover

Full replay, THIS is visibly clean, but has a bit of background pipping near the edges, which is why its in the sound sample you can hear now. most noticeable on side 1 intro just as the strings commence some fast playing with some pizzicato (plucking) The early flat edged pressing had little edge protection from just sliding in and out of covers, so many of them have background static predominantly in the intro.  After the VERY quiet (Musically) intros on both sides, it is almost unnoticeable. only a few paper scuffs visible in SUNLIGHT only. Photo's  taken in full sunlight and flash, and nothing is visible to me or the camera. Only a few of the softest pips generally on this lp and only a couple of spots in the sound sample have repetetive tics quietly for upto 5 or 6 revolutions only. (THE AFOREMENTIONED PIZZICATO SECTION IN INTRO)

HOWEVER THE DOWNSIDE FOR MOST OF YOU THAT WILL MAKE THIS AFFORDABLE IF YOU GENUINELY WANT A COPY OF THIS PERFORMANCE ON A T/S LABEL COLUMBIA IS THAT THE UK STAMPERS FOR THIS WENT TO AUSTRALIA TO MAKE THE PRESSING. (Stock number on label SAXO 2393, (O added to denote pressed in Australia), BUT I'D RATHER HAVE THIS THAN A SLIGHTLY CRACKLY UK PRESS IF I WANT GREAT MUSIC. AND YOU KNOW THE VINYL QUALITY IS PRETTY GOOD IF I DO SAY SO MYSELF (AS AN AUSSIE, UNBIASED AS I MAY BE.......) I have sold some OZ pressed Columbias to discerning buyers around the world, some for over 150GBP, for really rare ones, and comments returned to me were they were VERY nice pressings, and comparable to the UK ones, especially considering the perceived value difference. This is as rare as an Australian pressing, as I t is as a UK one, this is the only one I have ever seen.

COVER CONDITION   NM Minus (Excellent) but is is a shiny card unlaminated Australian cover using the same front artwork as the UK issue. Stock number on rear of card has SAXO as it is Australian. This is a very early press as only the first australian SAX(O) columbias had the stereophonic round sticker on the front cover, it also is Australian and not the usual metallic gold of the UK pressings sticker

Only minor blemishes are-

1. Minor corner bends and light ringwear near those areas, in the front cover corner area, may be visible in photo's.

2. Unlaminated shiny card is very lightly rubbed but hard to see on the all white cover.

LP CONDITION Near Mint Minus (Excellent)SEE Photo's,Has just a few faint spider web scuffs only in sunlight, play test has only infrequent pips mostly near the quiet edge intros,  as per normal vinyl replay BEAUTIFUL, AND THE DYNAMICS ARE GREAT

SOUND SAMPLE GUIDE First 4 minutes 44 seconds is of opening side 1, then I trfr to the side TWO at 4 minutes 55 seconds, WHICH IS THE REMAINDER OF THE 8 MINUTE 22 second SAMPLE IN TOTAL.

BE aware the sound sample talked about IS A LOW SAMPLE RATE AND accentuates treble (Hence more static crackle that you DON'T hear through your Hi Fi) and is low quality, but you get the idea.

Yes I have pretty much fully test played this after professionally washing it,

ITEMS are located in AUSTRALIA, see further down for Australia Post Rates to your destination!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

USA buyers, due to recently enforced air security measures, please note if this is delivered to USA (or Territories) there is now a 9AUD (6GBP) handling surcharge PLUS the normal post charge (x ray search) so that is why postage to USA destinations is so expensive in the postage Tab!!!!

CANADA AND SOUTH AMERICA, WILL BE GBP11.45,  THE USA INVOICE SHOWS EXTRA 6GBP SECURITY CHARGE RELEVANT ONLY TO USA AND TERITORIES

Australian buyers can pay in AUD,

UK Buyers BE AWARE !! Post limit of 4GBP as stipulated by ebay, (even for overseas sellers) GOOD NEWS!! unlike other sellers I will only charge the 4GBP to Post it to you BUT BAD NEWS..... It will arrive via the same method as if it was posted in UK, by SURFACE MAIL, and as that involves a slow ship via China and other indirect world zones it may take upto 3 MONTHS  to get to you. There is an option on your UK invoice for Economy mail, which will be by Air Mail and therefore the regular 10-15 days, SO UNLESS you want to get it VERY SLOWLY.... I would strongly recommend paying the optional invoice amount of GBP13.75

IN CASE AN OVERSEAS BUYER PAYS THE INVOICE BEFORE I GET TO ADJUST IT IN LINE WITH THE CHART BELOW, A REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS OR A REFUND IF OVERPAID WILL SOON FOLLOW!!!!!

Postage calculator NOT WORKING ACCURATELY when I live in Australia....... Item will be mailed from Australia, see list of world zones just below for air mail rate from Australia, do not pay automated ebay invoice (IF ONE ARRIVES) until receiving adjusted postage invoice.

I would appreciate email contact first to establish your credentials.  Credentials mean that I need to know you will be paying with VERIFIED PAYPAL account, and I of course will only be mailing to that verified address. DON'T EXPECT TO GET MY PERMISSION IN THE LAST 2 HOURS OF BIDDING, DO IT BEFOREHAND. (Buyers who have had trouble free transactions with me already qualify of course, regardless of the feedback status)

Winning bids unpaid after 7 days will be reported as non paying bidder and item opened to second chance offer.

HAPPY BIDDING, QUESTIONS WELCOME

IF insurance is required on any Missionselit purchases please be aware I CAN ONLY INSURE BASED ON THE CUSTOMS DECLARATION STATED VALUE, PLEASE BE AWARE SHOULD YOU BE LIABLE FOR ANY CUSTOMS ON A SECOND HAND LP IN YOUR COUNTRY, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT PAYMENT (UK, Sth Korea, Germanyand possibly Malaysia has this problem I believe). The need for me to cover  insurance for any loss in the postal service means  I will  not under any circumstances  understate the customs declaration value, for the above reasons.
