Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. The Mellotron hype here is totally justified as it's used on each and every cut.

Here, a really rare second pressing that is sometimes confused as an 'original' - but in case you didn't know: Original pressings have black and silver Philips labels with the Philips wording in a very bold font. The backcover shows ads for more albums from the ''This is'' series.  This is a well-made copy that is in limited/rare existance, but has a black back cover with song titles...so not the first printing. 

"THIS IS" GRACIOUS is really solid song-oriented progressive album that would probably please fans of Spring or maybe Caravan, though this is darker and not pastoral at all. On their first album "Gracious!" the songs are alternating and adventurous but on some tracks the music tends to become too longwinding. Despite good ideas and a 'progressive mind' it's not really a memorable album. This, their second album "This is ... Gracious" is another story, due to a stunning progress from the band and Martin Kitcat's frequent play on the mellotron, often in captivating interplay with the electric guitar. The songs are varied (blues, rock, classical, symphonic) and the climates are pleasant, it makes this album to highly acclaimed one!

“Supernova”, is a "proghead" dream come true, a very consistent epic; opening with a sci-fi/space-rock intro that Floyd or Hawkwind would have been proud of, it goes through all the modulations, stop times, tempo changes, experiments with effects and tapes, a seamless chain of themes and recurring motifs, with passionate lead singing , moments of nirvana for keyboard lovers with simultaneous mellotron, organ and e-piano playing – but above all that mellotron they’d felt in love with once while opening for King Crimson and of which they were unquestionably some of the most active and savvy users -, screaming and at times doubled guitar leads and even the inevitable acoustic PopRock section with ringing ear-catching moods.

CONDITION: The cover: The dark cover is hard to find clean, this copy has some light shelf wear starting, VG++ as well as dinged corner at bottom left corner... no split seams, no writing and bright original colors ... has a small, easily removable and crossed out $150.00 store price sticker at top right corner...

The vinyl: all clean and clear M- looks and plays fantastic!!!
