We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. This is a very scarce second press, exact in all ways but for the "Morgen Blue Town" label is a shade lighter... However, even the cover is the same lightly textured with perfect pastel colors in the same ... This UK pressing is from 25 years ago at least and not readily available - check it out!
- Motherlight had their ears glued to Syd era Floyd, minus the lengthy instrumental bits... so this LP rated so highly by those who are tuned-in, will appeal to a load of would-be fans given the fact of a highly infectious engaging sound, especially with repeat plays. Hardly ever surfaces, the first printing is valued in the multi-hundred$ so it's surprise this also rare pretty exact second issue is of interest given the exact textured cover and high end sound quality. OK then.
- This is one of the highlights of UK psychedelia. The ethereal lyrics and atmosphere created by this trio lifts this one to a beautiful dreamlike state making this album closer to the something like The End's Introspection meets early Barrett & Pink Floyd.
- Yes, the tip top legendary "Pussy" were their label mates and yes comparisons could be be made in the fact that they are completely different masterpieces that provide the perfect dichotomy between dark and light. Obviously "Pussy" evokes a darker atmosphere while Motherlight evoke the pleasing/attractive 'light.' If you will, consider both bands the perfect balance in the UK psych canon. Two remarkable highlights from a realm that mankind will never see again.
- "MOTHERLIGHT" is worth it alone for "Meadow-Lea." A perfect, hazy, dreamy, euphoric and catchy melancholic song. The rest is still really good.
- All of it ooozes a gauzy, hazy atmosphere that brings to mind a beautiful rainy day (or a beautifully stoned trip). Much closer to psychedelia than to progressive, it's one of the strongest (along with Pussy's 'Plays' album) of the much feted Morgan Blue Town albums. Other excellent tracks include the opener "Motherlight" which rocks harder than anything else on the album, "Mona Lose" and the psychedelic ballad "House of Many Windows".
After being smitten with this album one may try and find anything the guys in the band had recorded. The most well know of the trio is Wil Malone. He was involved in the collectible Orange Bicycle and he released a solo album in the early 70's. - Easy call -- this is the best stuff recorded.
