Description
This is a fine copy from a numbered, limited 1994 reissue of the ultra-rare sole LP (not counting archival releases) by British group Shide & Acorn, originally pressed in 1971. The group hailed from the Isle of Wight off Britain's south coast, and played folk-based music with an occasionally mystical bent typical of the times (viz. the song "Girl of the Cosmos"). The jacket has a 2” split in the top seam, light ring wear on the back cover, and light corner creasing (EX). The disc is clean with a little light scuffing, and plays with light surface noise and an occasional stray pop (EX-). The record comes with an insert (M-) that reproduces a local puff piece on the group, in which the writer asks, "Have we a second Beatles in our midst?" (Er, no.)
I’m in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their sleeves. The sleeves have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded discs except where otherwise noted.
