m / mint (-) The disc, labels are visually in perfect, like new condition. My highest grade is m followed by m-.
vg / very good (+/-) The record has been played quite a few times and shows some light scratches (surface marks, hairlines, sleeve scuffs) which should have no effect on the sound quality. Light spindle trails on the labels are visible. There may be some light crackles or surface noise in places.
g / good (+/-) The record has been played more often, this causes a fair amount of background noise. Some scratches appear beside the surface marks which may be slightly audible. Overall well playable and worth keeping.
w / worn An excessively played record. Heavy scratches may cause skips depending on equipment. High amount of moderate scratches and noise.
