When BOMC approached Stan Getz, the legendary saxman made it perfectly clear that any collection of his music would only be put together with the selections he wanted included.
And so, we have a collection of Getz playing with the likes of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Woody Herman, Jack Teagarden, Benny Goodman, Astrud Gilberto, Antonio Jobim…the list goes on and on.
Great selections include INSENSATEZ, DIDN’T WE, BLUES IN THE CLOSET, SO DANCO SAMBA, HER, SHINE, DESAFINADO, BUT BEAUTIFUL, HERE’S THAT RAINY DAY, BIM BOM, and GRANDFATHER’S WALTZ, among many others. (33 tunes in all.)
Box is without major fault, just has one corner split (neatly so). Inside, the booklet is fine and all three LPs will play near mint. (Of the six sides, just one mark of any consequence at the end of a side.)
Not to be missed. Worthy of the finest vinyl library.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $14 via airmail for the first LP, $4 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
