Description
Up for grabs is a rare 1st pressing of the classic Surfin With Bo Diddley lp. This is an original 1st red label US pressing on the Checker label.
On this lp Bo cranks the reverb and tremolo, and backed by the Megatons. gives his take on "surf" music (incidentally....his showmanship, sound, and playing techniques were a major influence on the surf genre). All tracks bar one are instrumentals, and are a mixture of covers and originals.
Thick American style cardboard cover is (VG+). Misc edge wear to top and bottom seams...spine is intact. Cancellation punchole on top right. Misc light rubbing/marks. No stickers/writing/residue etc.
Vinyl is (Ex-). Clean and glossy, with a few very faint sleeve marks on both sides. Has a barely noticeable warp that doesn't affect playback. Sounds fantastic...a beautiful playing copy!
Labels are (Ex). Clean with little sign of wear.
All in all, a fantastic playing or display copy of this very rare and collectable lp. Virtually impossible to find in Australia, so grab it while you can!
