Description

Folk-Lyric FL-107, "New Orleans Washboard Blues" with Snooks Eaglin, guitar and vocals with Brother Percy Randolph and Lucius Bridges on washboard and harmonica. Original black-label vinyl plays at NM with virtually no background sound. Heavy laminated jacket is also NM with no visible wear: seams are strong, corners are square, and there are no ringwear, rubwear, bends, writing or stamps; the jacket back is also very clean. Songs are "Possum Up a Simmon Tree", "That's All Right", "Veal Chop and Pork Chop", "Study War No More", "Model T and the Train", "Jack O'Diamonds", "Death Valley Blues", "This Train", "Bottle Up and Go", "Mardi Gras Mambo", "Rock Me Mama", "John Henry", "Locomotive Train", "I Had a Little Woman", and "Don't Leave Me Mama". This is the alternate (and far more attractive) cover of the Folk-Lyric LP called "Possum Up a Simmon Tree". Shipping is $4.00 media mail, $8.00 priority mail within the continental U.S.; $16.00 regular airmail to the U.K., Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia, and New Zealand. Regrets on overseas shipping cost, but Folkways LPs are heavy. Additional LPs in a single package are $1.00 additional within U.S. and Canada, $2.00 elsewhere. For overseas shipments, registered mail is strongly recommended at $11.75 extra. Many old records are practically antiques and should be treated that way. This LP will be packaged with the record inside an inner sleeve but outside the jacket; both are placed inside a sealed outer sleeve and shipped inside a special oversized handcrafted mailer with padding on all sides. It is designed thick enough not to be bent in transit and strong enough to withstand a drop from a second-story window. More than two LPs together may be mailed inside a heavy Bags Unlimited pizza-style box. Your LP should arrive in the same condition as on the day it was shipped. All used LPs are play-graded on a VPI turntable with Audioquest tonearm and Grado cartridge.
