Description
Original UK Island pink Bulls Eye label stereo press.The second Spooky Tooth album was released in March 1969 and recorded in November 1968 at Morgan Studios, London. After their first album was released in June 1968 they toured the USA and began to have success in Europe. They returned to the studio in November and went back on tour afterwards to promote their second album. The combination of two vocalists and interplay of guitar and keyboards gave the album a unique sound. The sleeve was also released in 5 different shades of grey, brown, magenta, light blue & olive!
The original issue with the rough pink Bulls Eye labels, the light grey cover and the stamped A-1 B-1 matrices with no stampers of the earliest first Orlake pressings!
The Ernest J. Day & Co Ltd matt gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some light storage rubbing on the outer cover, but there is a biro mark and a small sticker scar on the front cover. The spine is intact, slightly discoloured and fully readable, the plain company inner is intact and in EX condition. The record is in visually EX condition, with only a couple of faint hairlines and one or two light needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on each side. The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud pops, hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some low background noise during the run in grooves.
Overall, just a really great, loud and lively listen.
The stamped matrix nos. are; ILPS-9098, A- no stamper, B- no stamper. This is one of the early copies of the 1st press of the original 1969 UK stereo issue of this album!
All records are checked on an Acoustic Research deck before being listed and any flaws noted in the listing, so if you have any problems with the record please contact me for a full refund of original price & postage on return of the record (no partial refunds), no quibbles, no problems! All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!! UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.
Royal Mail post to Europe (All EU countries & non EU countries, including Russia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, etc.), the Rest of the World (Zone 1, including Canada, Japan, Brazil, Korea, China, South Africa, etc.) and the Rest of the World Zones 2 & 3 (the USA, Australia & New Zealand etc).
All Airmail is limited to 5 or 6 lp's due to 2kg weight restrictions.
