Description

The Beach Boys "Pet Sounds" Original (1966) Mono (Capitol) Promotional-Copy LP with the Traditional Capitol Bullet-Punch-Hole,Rainbow-Rim /Black Label in Near Mint Condition,Both LP Record and Cover/Jacket,in it's Original (1966) Capitol Records Inner-Sleeve...(Capitol-T-2458)
Very Rare as a Mono Promo Copy..If I had a scanner or a cam I would gladly send photos of this rare jewel copy, unfortunately I don't have a digital-camera at my convenience at this time to display this incredibly beautiful-piece and the sonic-masterwork that inspired Paul McCartney of the Beatles to go in the psychedelic-influence of "Sgt.Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band".

If it was'nt for the Beach Boys, who knows which direction that music may have turned in (1967)
Even Chris Cutler of Recommended Records(Art Bears/Henry Cow/News From Babel/Gobbels & Harth)mentions the Beach Boys, and Brian Wilson's influence, esp. that of Van Dyke Parks and his monumental "Song Cycle" LP(WB)(1968) as indispensable influences on his own work with Henry Cow and The Art Bears, etc.

Minimum-Bid starts at  $100- or Buy It Now for  $200- as I never see copies this clean and as promos...Please e-mail me if you have any questions about this rare lp from Rocks' Psychedelic Golden Era...

I have been a dealer since 1977 and the old days of Trouser Press/Goldmine and also my own private auctions through the mails since that time...I will be listing more and more of these rare lp's as time moves on..in the next few months..Thanks and Good Luck!
