Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - A Collection of Oldies...' 1966 FIRST PRESS stereo Parlophone UK pressing vinyl LP.
This particular pressing features a few rarities! Firstly, it is a STEREO copy dating from the mid-sixties. This is quite rare as the demand for mono records completely out-weighed the demand for stereo records. Thus, far fewer stereo copies were produced! Also, the sleeve is manufactured by 'EJ DAY'...mid-sixties stereo sleeves were usually printed by 'Garrod & Lofthouse' so a nice rarity! Also, it features VERY early mother stampers on Side 2! DO NOT MISS OUT!!!

VERY EARLY MOTHER STAMPERS SIDE 2!!!
Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - one very lightly feelable mark at the start of track 5, shouldn't cause any issues but don't take my word for it. Elsewhere, hairline marks and light scratches. Currently graded as VERY GOOD+! label is EXCELLENT-. Side 2 - same as Side 1 without the feelable mark!
Audio: AUDIO GRADING TO FOLLOW!!!
Inner Sleeve: The original EMI advertising inner sleeve is currently in VERY GOOD+ condition. There is a very very tiny split along the bottom edge - 2cm if that!
Sleeve: The original 1966 stereo EJ DAY sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition! The front has a lovely gloss and shine, with a laminate crease going right through the middle - nothing major. It's nice and clean with little wear and very strong edges. The rear of the sleeve is nice and clean and white with a few marks to the flipbacks but they are held down very tightly. Free from writing and graffiti. There is a crease in the top right corner. The spine is 100% readable and slightly rounded. All clean, all edges intact, houses the record well - a great RARE sleeve!
