Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles For Sale' 1964 first press STEREO vinyl LP!
This particular pressing is the very first STEREO pressing of Beatles For Sale, released in 1964. Stereo copies are way rarer than mono pressings as the demand for stereo records in 1964 was very low. Most people didn't have equipment that could play stereo records and those that did had to specially order stereo copies through their local record dealer! VERY RARE, DO NOT MISS OUT!!!

EARLY MOTHER STAMPER ON SIDE 1!





Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there are some light hairlines and light marks but none of them are feelable and they don't look that bad! Lovely gloss and shine. Rated as VERY GOOD+. Label is VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+.                       Side 2 - same as Side 1 but with longer hairline marks. Nothing feelable so should be fine!
Audio: I have play-tested the first track on Side 1 and the first track on Side 2 ONLY!! They both rate as VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT-! Very punchy an crisp with lots of clarity! The stereo mix is fantastic and they both played with no skips, no sticks and no jumps on my system! Light crackle on the run-ins. There is some background crackle and light pops here and there but not often. Doesn't interfere with the loud music. I do recommend a deep clean but this album shouldn't cause any problems!

Sleeve: The original 1964 STEREO gatefold sleeve is currently rated as VERY GOOD+! The front of the sleeve is nice and glossy and has intact laminate! Light creasing towards the edges and a corner crease towards the bottom right. Looks great and still has an original Harrods sticker on it! I chose not to remove the sticker as it places it very nicely in time and adds to how old this record actually is! The inner gatefold is very clean with barely any issues. Some staining on the flipbacks but they're 100% intact and held down nice and tight! The rear of the sleeve has some light creasing and ringwear. There is also a section of intact laminate lift towards the bottom right. Still has a lovely gloss and shine and is very clean. The spine is 100% readable and surprisingly square for this type of sleeve. It has some light creasing and pinches towards the edges but it looks great - DO NOT MISS OUT!!!
