Description

An original 1st press of BFS on UK Parlophone. Matrix 3N/3N - very 1st cut. Note that the labels mention 'Parlophone' in the perimeter text and 'recording 1st pub' is evident - as you will find on 1st issues. Tax code "MT". The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover with Emitex inner. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In super condition having seen only light use. Surfaces look excellent with a couple of minor marks. PLEASE NOTE - the record exhibits a bit of edge wobble measured at max amplitude of 1MM [Observable on side 1]. Visible to the eye - but I have tested it and let me tell you - there is zero effect whatsoever on the audio. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are really quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Ok, so you'd prefer to not to have the edge wobble - that's a given. BUT if you can look beyond what is merely a cosmetic issue - the audio is absolutely superb. This example is amongst the best playing 1st copies of BFS I've witnessed. This title always struggles in a couple of the lowkey numbers on side 1. I'm thinking 'The Sun' & 'Moonlight' - very rarely do these tracks play properly clean. This one executes them with perfectly clean background. Now, that's not to be sniffed at! These is an absolutely cracking copy throughout. You just need to be able to take that one cosmetic issue on the chin.
Cover (Vg+) In decent condition with a nice clean front.  A couple of thumbnails front and back - but otherwise pretty tidy. The interior looks good with no issues. A bit of edge wear is observable in the odd spot - but nothing worrisome. The spine is pretty much all intact with a touch of ageing and a bit of wear up at the ends [as is difficult to avoid]. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. A couple of side splits have been internally repaired.
