Description
For instant sale is an original 1st UK press copy from 1970 of the 'LET IT BE' boxset by THE BEATLES on the APPLE RECORDS label (PXS 1/PCS 7096). The item is complete and includes the outer cover, the box, the 'Get Back' book, the sleeve with the 'Red Apple' and the vinyl record with the matrices ending in -2U.
The outer cover and the box have a fair amount of wear and damage but most of this might be repairable with care. However, these are definitely sold 'as found'. I have tried to show the worst damage in the photos so please study them carefully. The record sleeve is in overall excellent condition but there are a few small creases in the lamination, a few light 'scuff' marks and a little bit of edge and cornerwear. The spine is sharp, clean and fully readable. The enclosed book is in excellent condition with just a few light surface marks and light creases and a very small amount of edgewear. Again, please study all the photos carefully to see the condition for yourself. The record labels are in excellent condition but with quite a few spindle trails. The record has several light surface marks but no deep scratches. On playback it plays really well with a great sound but it does have some surface noise ('crackle') and 'pops' at times. However, definitely no 'sticks' or 'jumps'. The 'crackle' is only really noticeable during quieter passages and between tracks and when the music kicks in then you can't really hear it at all. The boxset will be wrapped in bubblewrap before posting to ensure that it does not get damaged on its journey. I will dispatch it in a proper record mailer and will post within one working day of purchase by Special Delivery so that it gets on its way to you as soon as possible. Although expensive, this method provides next-day delivery with full tracking and insurance so is far and away the safest method both for you and for me. If you are not happy with your purchase then, on return of the item, I promise to give a full no-quibble refund including the original postage cost which means you can buy with absolute confidence.
