A very rare complete STEREO label pressing of REVOLVER, with original Flip Back Cover, ORIGINAL Inner sleeve and TOP AUDIO THROUGHOUT!!!

A COMPLETE pressing in stunning condition, that plays brilliantly from start to finish.  

Revolver is the seventh album by The Beatles, released on 5 August 1966. Many of the tracks on Revolver are marked by an electric guitar-rock sound, in contrast with their previous, folk rock inspired Rubber Soul. It reached number 1 on both the UK and US Charts and stayed at the top spot for seven weeks and six weeks, respectively. 

 The album is often regarded as one of the greatest achievements in rock music history, and one of the Beatles' greatest studio achievements. It was released before their last tour in August 1966, but they did not perform songs from the album live. Their reasoning for this was that many of the tracks on the album, such as "Tomorrow Never Knows", were too complex to perform with live instruments. 

 Revolver is often cited as one of the greatest albums in music history. It has numerous shifts in mood and production texture, but in its innovative manipulation of amplification and electronics to produce new sounds on guitars and other instruments.  Specific, widely-heralded examples include the backwards riffs of "I'm Only Sleeping", the sound effects of "Yellow Submarine", the sitar of "Love You To", the blurry guitars of "She Said, She Said", and above all the seagull chanting, buzzing drones, megaphone vocals, free-association philosophising, and varispeed tape effects of "Tomorrow Never Knows".

This Ultra Rare Stereo Press gives a great authentic Beatles listening experience. Hard to believe this great vinyl is from the 60's! A supreme rarity!

ALBUM PLAYED FOR GRADING:

Yes – brilliant! - TOP AUDIO -  sound quality throughout.

This great record plays up to the visual and audio grading and beyond, with truly stunning audio. 

Testing to this album was a great pleasure. Over the years I have collected numerous pressings of Revolver, in every label variant, and I am always amazed by the variability of the audio performance.  Unbelievable audio clarity, it's like being in the studio with the Beatles. I have collected so many great pieces that have been barely played, and the audio performance can still be patchy, due to manufacturing blemishes and a build of groove contamination over several decades. 

REVOLVER is a complex and varied collection of music, and is a relatively sensitive piece of vinyl, and hard to find in clear audio condition. Worn copies can have a lot of surface sound even on musically complex and busy tracks like 'Tomorrow Never Knows.' This pressing has strong undistorted audio, with bright clear sound. There is certainly NO dominant  interference, and NO loud pops or clicks or Distortion. It really sounds great and plays with great sound separation and clarity!

'Taxman' bursts in with superb clear audio. Bright loud sound, there are no pops or clicks, and certainly not a hint of distortion. There is some light static in the run in grooves but I I could barely detect any static during the track. Incredible. Every single sound is pitch perfect and clear. The full orchestration of 'Eleanor Rigby' plays with perfect separation. This track is the first real test for Revolver, with multi layering but also a sparseness, it plays superbly. Barely any detectable occasional static and certainly no loud pops or clicks. A couple  of light tics between the two tracks only, but not during the music, and thats the only very slight audio blemish. 'I'm Only Sleeping' sounds great again with barely any detectable static at all. 'Love You To' opens with a very clean intro, and the sitar sounds amazingly clear and bright. Still no pops or clicks, and NO distortion, in fact I can safely say this vinyl plays without a hint of distortion or buzzing anywhere . 'Here, There And Everywhere' plays superbly . Being ultra critical, I did hear a couple of light tics between the tracks, and some very light (barely audible) static in the middle, but thats it. 'Yellow Submarine', sounds great, again with no pops or clicks, just great clear music, all the sound effects that make up this track are crystal clear A couple of light static tics only. 'She Said She Said' rounds off side one and sounds wonderful with bright crystal clear audio, superb.

Side 2. begins with the classic upbeat 'Good Day Sunshine'. It plays through brilliantly with no pops or clicks, just a little light static at the very start. 'And Your Bird Can Sing' plays beautifully, with barely any, if any detectable static, and no sound interference's. 'For No One'  and 'Doctor Robert' sound great, with absolutely minimal surface static (barely any detectable) and no pops or other sound interruptions. A couple of light static tics only. 'I Want To Tell You' and the classic 'Got To Get You Into My Life' both sound superb, with bright clear sound, as does the final 'Tomorrow Never Knows'. This radical track rounds of this great vinyl superbly, with amazingly clear loud sound. I could only detect a single light tic in the middle of the track, and barely any, if any detectable static. An unbelievable audio performance. 

This is a truly great 1st ever stereo press of Revolver, with no loud clicks or pops anywhere and certainly no distortion, buzzing or other interference's. Barely any static, and any static that is there is very, very occasional, hard to hear and very much in the background. Great music with great clarity. 

Superb sound with amazingly clear audio, every track has been thoroughly tested and I could find no obvious sound blemishes at all. There are NO loud clicks or pops during playback. This vinyl is an absolute gem! It must be the clearest pressings of Revolver I've ever heard. Great music with great clarity, and any vinyl that plays with this type of sound is an absolute rarity, let alone a 1st Stereo pressing of this Beetles classic. 

A great all round example of this great vinyl. I would easily give this great record an audio grading of EXCELLENT PLUS to NEAR MINT.

THE RECORD – VISUAL GRADING 

A superb piece of glossy vinyl, and a really thick pressing. In daylight this stunning vinyl looks largely unmarked. The record has great shine, with barely any detectable light handling marks or paper removal marks, this vinyl looks and sounds barely played. This is a really stunning example, clear grooves that deliver absolutely amazing audio clarity. 

Can easily grade at least at EXCELLENT PLUS to NEAR MINT.

THE LABELS 

These early STEREO Press Parlophone labels are in stunning condition, with no sticker marks or writing, and absolutely minimal spindle traces. In fact there is only really a single tiny trace on each label. They look virtually unplayed. A great pair. 

VINYL TESTED FOR ANY SIGNS OF WARPING:

Yes, NONE visible what so ever when tested be sight and on a moving turntable.

THE COVER

This vinyl comes complete with the ultra rare original medium STEREO logo issue 'Garrod Lofthouse' cover in great condition. 

These Revolver covers are very prone to wear, like so many of the classic Beatles vinyls from the sixties. The laminate is prone to cracking and lifting, with serious ring wear and destruction to the edges. The unlaminated back is usually heavily marked and The Spines are nearly always flattened, worn and un readable. Not this one!

There is minimal rubbing to the corners, and no rubbing along the edges. The opening edges are very square and un frayed, with none of the common small splits at the opening. The white areas are very white, with no obvious blemishes. The back cover is nice and clean, with NO finger prints (that are nearly always present and cant really be removed)  and  barely any ring wear, which is very unusual for these delicate covers. There are a coupe of light creases only. The spine is square and un broken, (there are a couple of ultra light creases only) and the text is completely in tact.

A great example. All round, this is a really TOP cover!!! Easily grades at EXCELLENT to EXCELLENT PLUS.

THE INNER 

This classic press comes with the Original UK inner sleeve, with NO splits on any of the sides, and NO splits or frays at the top, no serious staining or obvious discolouration, as clearly seen in the images. There is some marking from the impression of the record as seen in the images. A stunning example, and one of the earliest editions. Easily grades at EXCELLENT PLUS.

The record will of course come in a plain white replacement inner sleeve, to protect the originals!

RARITY

EARLY YELLOW AND BLACK STEREO PRESSINGS in playable condition are becoming scarce. The vinyl is so often played so much, heavily marked, scratched, with noisy, poor and distorted sound.

The cover is almost impossible to find without serious wear, even modestly worn examples are scarce and this is a TOP example, with no cracks or serious marks. Finding a nice cover like this, with a heavy piece of vinyl, fantastic!.

VINYL SOUND - PLEASE NOTE:

The highest quality vinyl with clear sound is rare, and is what I always aim for. I only sell records that play with TOP AUDIO performance, super clear sound uninterrupted by hiss or other interference. Even with the cleanest copies you will find occasional static sound or occasional light tics during playback, caused by a build of dust in the grooves. This is clearly different from the distortion, loud pops, repeating tics or clicks that are found on heavily played and worn pieces of vinyl. Any static build up will reduce when played, and I advise a light clean should be given between plays for optimal performance.

MINT: Virtually unplayed. The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover is pristine.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

V.G PLUS: The record will still be nice and shiny, but may have a few light marks, and will play well. Slight wear and tear on the cover.

V.G: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, etc.
