Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Rubber Soul' 1965 UK LOUD CUT press MONO vinyl LP!
This particular pressing is the very first MONO pressing of Rubber Soul, released in 1965. It is referred to as the 'Loud Cut' due to the fact that when it was first released, they accidentally used the wrong mix for the album. The Loud Cut mix is obviously louder, rougher around the edges and has slightly more bass. It was discontinued shortly after release so is seen as VERY collectible amongst Beatles fans! It features the first Sans Serif font on both labels, comes with the original EMITEX inner sleeve and the original mono flipback sleeve! DO NOT MISS OUT!!!

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - lots of light hairline marks and scratches. One mark that I can feel across the end of track 1 and the start of track 2. VERY lightly feelable though, doesn't feel deep. Rated as VERY GOOD-. Label is VERY GOOD. Side 2 - same as Side 2! Looks like it's definitely been played but cared for, considering it's age.
Audio: I have play tested the first two tracks on either side ONLY!!! From these 4 tracks, the overall audio is graded as VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+! There is some background crackle in the quieter parts but it's never intrusive and never ruins the listening experience. Very rich bass tone and of course, LOUD! Not the best mix in the world but the vocals are strong and it's still a very pleasurable listening experience! NO SKIPS, NO STICKS and NO JUMPS on those 4 tracks!
Inner Sleeve: The original EMITEX inner sleeve is currently in GOOD- condition! It has 3 splits - one on either side and one on the bottom. They are about 4" long. It also has some discolouration and creases but it does house the record extremely well.
Sleeve: The original 1965 MONO flipback sleeve is currently rated as a strong VERY GOOD! The front of the sleeve has some light creasing towards the edges and light ringwear with some edgewear but no rips, tears or splits. Laminate creasing in places but it's very small. Colour is still strong and looks great! The rear of the sleeve has some discoluration but all edges and flipbacks are intact! There is no graffiti, writing or pen marks and the flipbacks are held down tightly with some creasing. The spine is readable with a light scuff in the 'T' in Beatles. Houses the record perfectly.
