Description

Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Rubber Soul 12" 1965 mono LOUD CUT original Parlophone LP vinyl press' in overall VERY GOOD condition.

VINYL:-
Visual:

  • Side 1 - plenty of hairline marks and sleeve removal trails - nothing deep or serious though. Rated as VERY GOOD-/VERY GOOD. Label is VERY GOOD.
  • Side 2 - a bit worse than Side 1 with a couple more feelable marks. Doesn't feel too deep. Rated as VERY GOOD-. Label is VERY GOOD.

Audio:
  • In my opinion, the audio is VERY GOOD- in places and VERY GOOD in other places!! I have play tested it all the way through and can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO JUMPS and NO STICKS on my system! There is some crackle throughout but the music is still very audible, just needs a deep clean! It's definitely a well-played copy that's holding up well! As this is the LOUD CUT, the bass is loud and prominent and often punches through the crackle. Please be aware that the background crackle is still audible though. More noticeable on 'Michelle'. Elsewhere, light ticks and pops. Lies very flat and plays very well!

The original EMITEX inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+ condition! Nice and crisp with very light creases here and there. Approximately 1.5" split along the bottom edge but still housed very well!

The original MISPRINTED flipback mono sleeve is intact and houses the record very well. I rate it as VERY GOOD-/VERY GOOD! Nice and clean with the usual creasing and age-related wear. Sticker residue top right front. 1" split along the top, writing on back near top, laminate peeling along spine. This is possibly the strangest Rubber Soul sleeve I have EVER seen!! Basically, the sleeve has been misprinted out of place. So the wrap around flipbacks are higher than they should be! The spine is nice and square - NOT PINCHED!! It is the misprinting of the sleeve that causes the spine text to appear on the back of the sleeve!!
This is probably a ONE OFF UNIQUE sleeve!! Not the prettiest but surely the most interesing!
