Description
For auction the Beatles classic 1968 UK 1st pressing (STEREO) double Vinyl album ... The white album! serial number No, 0570430 with its original black innersleeves, poster and the four prints, .. a complete original set!
Condition. the gatefold laminated flipbacked sleeve (widespine 1cm) is in a VERY GOOD clean overall condition, with no damage or heavy creasing, the spine is clear and legible both loading edges are sharp and firm, and the embossed BEATLES LOGO and serial number are clear to the front panel! the word stereo is printed to the top right rear panel, making this the original and correct STEREO sleeve, just some age related handling and mild rubbing marks!
The two original black inners are also in nice condition and both grade VERY GOOD! The original uk "kiss lips" poster is in an EXCELLENT clean condition!
All four apple labels hold the SOLD IN THE UK etc. text! and all four labels are clean with nice firm spindles, and it is obvious these discs have seen careful handling by their previous owner! all labels are EXCELLENT.
VINYLS. SIDE 1. YEX 709-1 4 GM is in a clean EXCELLENT condition with a nice original shine, no groove wear and not too many surface marks! play tested excellent with no problems!
SIDE 2. YEX 710-1 G OAG is also in a very nice condition as side 1. and also grades EXCELLENT play tested with no problems and the disc lies flat on the turntable with no warp or dish effect!
SIDE 3. YEX 711-2 1 G grades EXCELLENT nice and clean and playtested with no problems!
SIDE 4. YEX 712-1 1 GGP grades EXCELLENT and all four sides have been play tested and sounded great in STEREO on a TECHNICS DECK and CLASS AA amp with MISSION SPEAKERS, and a nice overall new look shine to the vinyl is retained, both discs lie flat on the turntable with no warp or dish effect, there are occasional light marks on all four sides, with a few more on side 4. although there are no "feelable" marks on all sides!
The four original heavy UK card prints are clean and EXCELLENT also present is the scarce and seldom seen white paper photo spacer!
Overall a nice original and complete example of the hard to find STEREO version of this classic album with a nice number, and buy with confidence.... i usually get my gradings right (see feedback!) ...or your money back!
I USE UK RECORD COLLECTOR MAG GRADINGS WHICH ARE .. EXCELLENT THE RECORD SHOWS SOME SIGNS OF HAVING BEEN PLAYED, BUT THERE IS VERY LITTLE LESSENING IN SOUND QUALITY. THE COVER AND PACKAGING MIGHT HAVE SLIGHT WEAR AND / OR CREASING. VERY GOOD THE RECORD HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN PLAYED MANY TIMES, BUT DISPLAYS NO MAJOR DETERIORATION IN SOUND QUALITY, DESPITE NOTICEABLE SURFACE MARKS AND THE OCCASIONAL LIGHT SCRATCH. NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON THE COVER AND EXTRA ITEMS WITHOUT ANY MAJOR DEFECTS IS ACCEPTABLE.
