This incredibly rare Doo Wop 45 is a nice copy (LISTEN). The Checkers were an offshoot of the Dominoes, one of the most popular Doo Wop groups around, and considering the Checkers bass was Bill Brown lead singer on "Sixty Minute Man"  very little is known about the group. What little that is know can be found if you look up Marv Goldberg's notes on the group on line. The group as you probably already know is wildly popular with Doo Wop collectors. The last copy to come up for sell on eBay was in 2006 so don't miss this one.

 

The record has some surface marks and when you listen you will hear how they affect play. Side two which you can see in the photo has a red grease pen circle. This 45 came from an estate sale in Charlottesville, Virginia and there were some radio related items from Richmond. Having been in the radio business for about 40 years I mention that because because using a grease pencil to make a circle on the label was a way of identifying which side of the record not to play.
