Near Mint condition vinyl - The box was opened in 2008 but remains unplayed. The outer box is still housed in its original shrink wrap. The only issue is that the top middle edges of six of the covers have slight damage which happened in transit. You can see this clearly in the photo. Apart from that, the sleeves and inserts are immaculate.
THE DOORS VINYL BOX. Cloaked in faux lizard skin, Rhino's limited edition, seven-disc boxed set contains 12” 180-gram HQ virgin vinyl reissues of the original stereo mixes of the legendary band's six Jim Morrison-fronted studio albums plus a second version of their revolutionary 1967 debut LP pressed in mono. The deluxe box presents the now-historic albums - all originally released between 1967 and 1970 - as replicas of their initial vinyl offerings, including artwork and inner sleeves. The set is capped at 12,500 individually numbered copies worldwide.
The lacquers for this special project were cut at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, CA under the direct supervision of original Doors producer/engineer Bruce Botnick and Elektra Records founder Jac Holzman. THE DOORS VINYL BOX was also produced in cooperation with surviving band members John Densmore, Robby Krieger and Ray Manzarek.
