Description
The Paisleys: "Cosmic Mind at Play" (Audio City 944 S-2809/Peace 70p-1, 1970). Well-known psych album from Minneapolis; getting very hard to find. This copy has a strong VG++ cover, with one small seam split and some discoloration in the upper right corner (front & back). The vinyl looks poor, as there are a lot of scratches and some heavy scuffs -- but plays *much* better than it looks: I'd give it a solid VG+ sound grade, based on a careful listen to both sides of the album. There are no heavy clicks or pops or significant distortion (or, of course, skips) -- just light crackle, except during the last track on side one and during the final five or six minutes of side two, where the crackle is heavier, but still not too bad. Much of the record sounds quite fine -- really no worse then plenty of unscratched but poorly pressed albums, and overall this is definitely an enjoyable listening experience. The labels are clean, though one side has a black magic marker stroke on it (see picture below).
