THIS IS A VERY NICE COPY OF THE MONO VERSION OF THIS ICONIC STONES LP. THE MATRIX NUMBERS ARE XARL-8476-4A and XARL-8477-2A. THE STAMPERS ARE 1, U C and 1, U.

VINYL: THE VINYL RETAINS ITS SHINEY APPEARANCE DESPITE ALOT OF VERY LIGHT WHISPEY HAIRLINES. THERE ARE NO DEEP SCRATCHES OR ISSUES WHICH CAUSE CLICKS, JUMPS OR STICKING. AS A RESULT THE AUDIO REPRODUCTION REMAINS EXCELLENT. THERE IS A VERY OCCASIONAL FAINT CRACKLE BUT IS VERY HARD TO HEAR THROUGH THE MUSIC. OVERALL I WOULD GRADE APPEARANCE AS VERY GOOD AND THE AUDIO AS EXCELLENT. ITS NOT MINT BUT ITS NOT JUST A SHELF FILLER EITHER.

LABELS: THE LABELS ARE CLEAN WITH NO WRITING OR MARKS. THERE IS LITTLE SPINDLE HOLE WEAR AND JUST A FEW 'SNAIL TRAILS'. GRADED EXCELLENT.

COVER: THE GATEFOLD LAMINATED COVER IS HOLDING UP WELL WITH ONLY VERY LIGHT CORNER AND OPENING EDGE WEAR. THERE ARE NO CREASES AND THE SPINE IS 99% READABLE. THERE IS NO LOSS OF LAMINATE WHICH IS A COMMON DEFECT WITH THIS COVER. CONSERVATIVELY I WOULD GRADE IT VG+.

INNER: THIS COPY HAS A POLY-LINED PATENT PENDING/ BLUE TEXT INNER SLEEVE WHICH IS EXCELLENT.

I aim to describe the visual appearance of all items accurately using the standards below which are based on the UK Record Collector Price Guide. The highest grade I use now is NEAR MINT ('UNPLAYED' if still sealed in shrink wrap or occasionally full MINT but only if the provenance of the item suggests this to be correct). Records graded EX+ or EX++ would probably be called 'near mint' or 'mint' by most sellers. Please READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY and study photographs to avoid disappointment later. I will refund only on items which do not conform to the description and standards set out here.

GRADING SYSTEM

NEAR MINT: The record appears to be in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and other inserts are perfect. For MINT grading see above

EXCELLENT: The item has been played and may have some light surface marks but there is very little, if any, lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents have slight wear.

VERY GOOD: The record has been played quite alot but displays no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Cover and contents show some wear.

GOOD:The record has been played many times and the sound quality has deteriorated noticeably. The cover and contents are often damaged.

I use EX++,EX+,VG++,VG+ as subsidiary gradings. Unless the record is extremely rare I do not sell items which are less than VG in condition.
