Description
THE STRAWBS Strawberry Music Sampler No. 1 hails from 2026 and is a SEALED limited edition LP issued for Record Store Day. Strawberry Sampler Number 1 was originally released in 1969 as a demo record to promote songs by Dave Cousins and Tony Hooper to other artists. Included on this demo sampler was Sandy Denny’s first version of "Who Knows Where the Time Goes". Strawberry Sampler Number 1 was re-released in 2001 by Witchwood Records on CD as a studio album. Most of the songs were re-recorded by the Strawbs on later albums. "Ah Me, Ah My" appeared unchanged on the Grave New World album). The initial 1969 issue on 12-inch vinyl amounted to just 99 copies. It is now virtually impossible to find any copies remaining. The reissue includes previously unreleased out-takes from the partially completed first Strawbs album.
