THE THIRD BOOTH
I NEED LOVE
The Third Booth, from Canton, Illinois, only cut one single, and it’s a fuzz monster. The song “I Need Love” was cut for a total of $250 and was cut in a simple eight hour session.
The band worked out the tune again and again so they could nail it in no time at all once in the studio. Originally it was called “Sound, Incorporated” not “I Need Love.” In fact, when it was first pressed up on Thunder Records, it used this original title.
They had put so much emphasis on the ‘A’ side that they soon realized they didn’t have anything for the flip. While in the studio, they wrote the song “Mysteries” for that other side.
