Description

Ultra-rare 1971 UK repress of the 3rd self-titled VU album on MGM Records (the 1st 1969 UK pressing was ridiculously limited and rare, this is the 1st somewhat widely available version for the UK/European market). This is the so-called "Closet Mix" version, mixed by Lou Reed himself in '69, even more raw and intimate than the more common mix available today. Beautiful analog sound on high quality vinyl, the wonderful original 60s sound of this legendary record in all its raw glory (SO much better than all the various modern reissues!)
VPI cleaned and play tested, in amazing condition for its age. Barely ever played, still in near mint condition, plays excellent, very clean throughout.  The beautiful matte cover is in strong VG+ condition, just a little edge wear, still looks great.
