Description

THUNDER, LIGHTNING & RAIN "Super Funky" (parts 1 & 2). Probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. On original (The Miami Sound) SAADIA label (1609). This is the rarer first pressing on the orange Saadia label. (The yellow label Saadia with "Miami Sound" deleted  is a LATER pressing).  Some ringwear to label. Side 1 has a half-inch edge fray (rub) affecting the first 10 seconds with some surface noise & grades GOOD with some scratches & surface noise; Side 2 grades VERY GOOD with some scratches & surface noise, but most of the noise is drowned out by the loud & strong Funky beat .  Overall I'd gradeit VG-.But certainly Rare in ANY condition. This is NOT a beat up beater copy, but I've seen copies in far worse condition than this sell at record shows for  $200-300. And in the last 6 years on ebay, I've only seen 2 copies of this 45 in the rare 1st pressing and I've never seen a copy sell for less than $200. But who knows (with ebay you never know!) someone might win this at a real bargain price!   As one critic has commented:  "This is one of the best funk 45s to come out of Miami."
