Description

An original 1st press of EW on the UK Fly label. Matrix 2/2. Stampers 2-TR/2-GDR. Etchings "Porkie/Pecko". The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover. Also included is the original bespoke inner sleeve. NO poster...I'm afraid...and at this price we hope you won't be expecting one!
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we can make out a couple of light marks per side - but nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. I gotta say that there's very little to find fault with here....just clean well resolved audio...and that's what these 1st issue copies are renowned for. Interference is both minor and infrequent. All I could detect were a few crackles in a couple of isolated moments per side. This specimen does a fantastic job of delivering every last nuance of this BOLAN classic straight to the listener.
Cover (Vg) These EW covers tend to look a bit beleaguered by this stage in their life - and this copy is no exception. I would argue that it is acceptable and no better. A good bit of surface wear on the front and creasing as is common. The sticker, or what's left of it, in the top right looks like the original Red promo sticker. The rear looks marginally better - with some surface wear and stress creasing in places. There's a fair bit of edge wear and do not expect to make out much of the text on the spine. But overall, as I mentioned, acceptable and original.
Inner (Vg+) A bit aged, but ok looking. A one inch side split and a two inch one at the bottom edge.
