Description
Both labels have 446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C. address; The sam address at the bottom of the back cover. Deep groove. Teddy Charles, vibes on all tracks. Side A, 3 tracks, also includes Shorty Rogers, trumpet; Curtis Counce, bass; Shelly Manne, drums. Side B has 1 track with the same personnel. 2 tracks include Charles on piano as well as vibes. Rogers, trumpet; Jimmy Giuffre, tenor, baritone sax; Curtis Counce, bass; Shelly Manne, drums. All tracks recorded in Hollywood in 1953.
Cover: VG to VG+ 1" split on the bottom edge at the insert edge. Light aging and some soil from ordinary handling and storage. Cover art by Gil Melle.
Record: VG++ to Mint(-) Visually shows no wear. There are 3 or 4 light surface rub marks on both sides. These do not affect the sound. There are 2 or 3 light clicks on Track 3, Side A. No other surface noise on Side A. There are 4 or 5 light clicks on Track 1, Side B. Slight groove noise for a very short interval on Track 2, Side B. This noise is very light and incidental to the overall fine sound and quality. Audibly checked.
