Thanks for visiting, and here to help my daughter pay for medical school. We're so thankful for your help, and God and Teresa bless~~.
All vinyl records will be cleaned on my VPI professional machine, with the most advanced active enzyme solution and purified water, and I am installing a brand new vacuum tube today to clean perfectly. Thank you.
I apologize for the high cost of shipping and inflation. eBay takes a full commission from shipping, and California has a high cost of living. Thank you, and with my apologies. Combined shipping is a solid deal that I usually lose on, and always 25% of the original cost for extra items. also, shipping to Canada can be calculated as exactly in between domestic shipping and overseas international shipping. Thank you kindly~~.
Today's items with deepest respect conclude on the anniversary of the day of the passing of Miss Deng Li Jun, on May 8, 1995. The Holy Bible of the Christian tradition states that a full life is "three score and ten," that being 70 years for a full life. Had our beloved Miss Teresa lived until this year, she would have experienced that full life of 70 years, and our lives would have been so more blessed and loving.
Thusly, on this special day of commemoration, I offer her "Last & Lasting Legacy". These items are some of the best condition items of hers remaining in the world. Condition was always very important to me, and I would often buy two, three, or four copies of favorite albums and pick and choose the best vinyl and the best cover. And that is what we are offering today. The best of her work in best and gorgeous, collectible condition. Please enjoy at least to see and experience.
Now, to commemorate her death, on this special anniversary of May 8, I offer this small story and big love...
"Visiting Teresa..."
And, at this time, I would like to share the most touching and moving story of knowing Miss Teresa. And it is about the most special place in the world, to me: the gravesite of Miss Teresa Teng, in the beautiful, green mountains of Taiwan. This is the most special place on Earth for me, to which I have been on five occasions. The first two visits were the most special, and the subject of this story today.
Teaching in Taipei during the summers, I began to vaguely be acquainted with a past singer named Teresa Teng. First buying a cheap 2 CD set, I fell in love with her music and her character and her life. And, so, I determined to visit her gravesite, to pay my respects, with love. You will be happy to hear that, to this day, hundreds if not thousands of people visit her gravesite every daytime hour. Many come from Japan on huge tour buses, some happy and laughing, but others deeply respectful and sorrowful. I would sit on the big rock next to her gravesite and wiping eyes of tears for hours. Some European people even asked me if I was her long-lost boyfriend from France, which was sweet and funny.
So, on my very first visit, from some random location in huge Taipei, I took a taxi with a sweet, lady taxi driver, and she stayed at the gravesite with me for about 3 hours, observing, as I cried a lot that first time. We said goodbye when she took me back to my hotel, and a most special day in my life.
About one week later, I decided to return to her gravesite, one more time before returning to Japan, where I lived then. From a completely different location in huge Taipei, I took another taxi in a city full, full of taxis. I got on board, and I said, "I would like to go to the gravesite of Teresa Teng, please."
It was like a bolt of lightning struck the driver. This gentleman taxi driver spoke English, and he turned around and yelled, "Oh my God! Oh my GOD, it's YOU! You are the foreign man who cries at the grave of Teresa Teng!!! Your other lady driver came back to our base last week, and told us all about you, and we shared this with the other drivers of other companies all these days, and we have all been searching and on alert yo find you, and now here you are on MY taxi!!!" He immediately then got on his radio and said something in Chinese to his dispatcher, and I heard screaming and yelling on the other side that they were so happy that they had found me. I just couldn't believe it was happening. Now to see how much they really love her even after all this time to see that much love for her from every single taxi driver. We talked so much driving at least two-three hours each way, as he also he stayed with me at her gravesite for another few hours of paying our respects to her. I had heard that the common people have a special love for Teresa in Taiwan, because her family was so poor in money and common locals, and that on the day she died, every single taxi driver in Taiwan took 24 hours off of work to mourn and to commemorate her death, a deeply moving and spontaneous gesture of love before social media or anything. and I saw it for myself; this was about 15 years ago.
And as we left her resting place, I received my second, great honor. At least back then, there was a very elderly, very tiny security guard gentlemen in uniform, whom I saw there both times. The second time I was leaving, as our taxi drove past him, he drew himself to full attention in his uniform, and the fullest height that he could be, and he gave me the most official salute ever, with the most serious look on his face. I was so deeply honored by him and this feeling between us and I saluted in return through the open window. Wow.
God bless Miss Teresa in heaven. Her music is the closest to heaven we will ever be in our lifetimes. Thank you to read my humble story in this anniversary of her passing, May 8th. I deeply recommend each fan to make his pilgrimage to her holy burial place, and to feel her love and her soul, also found in every note of her blessed music. May God & Teresa bless you.
