Description
Hello and thanks for looking.
I am going to list some of my best records, please see my other listings for more from my collection, I have some really nice and rare items in top conditions.
I will combined post if you win more than 1 item.
I use the record collector grading system of Bad / Poor / Good (G) / Very Good / Excellent / Mint.
I also use a + or a - for grades that I consider slightly better or worse.
A VG disc on this site will not be is nasty condition like many sellers.
I never ship records inside the picture covers!
All records are sent out in PVC covers.
THE BEATLES.
TWIST AND SHOUT EP
UK Parlophone 4 Track EP - GEP 8882.
TWIST AND SHOUT / A TASTE OF HONEY c/w DO YOU WANT TO KNOW A SCRET / THERE`S A PLACE
I have collected many rare UK pressings of Beatles records and I do not recall ever seeing another example of this 4 track Twist & Shout EP before.
Please do NOT get this confused with the silver label Twist and Shout // Back In The USSR 45 that is not that rare, this is the 4 track EP!
This must of been a special order in the 1980`s, I have seen other sliver label Beatles re-pressings but never this EP. The disc is housed in a black cover, I think this is also how it came when ordered. I have seen other reissued Beatles 45s from the 80`s in the same cover. This is so late in the day for this EP they simply would of pressed the disc and you got the record in a normal cover.
The dead wax has made in the UK and text around the rim as found on EMI pressings in the 80`s. The matrix numbers are normal 7TCE 762-2N 7TCE 763-1N as found on earlier pressings. I have some pictures of the dead wax above.
This did not come from a box set, all the box set issues of this EP had paper labels.
Another strange thing about this EP is that this silver label pressing is not on Discogs, I looked hard and can not find it.
This was issued in the 1980`s on Parlophone records.
The Cover / VG / Black paper cover with some age wear as seen in the pictures..
The Record / VG++ / Some light surface wear under halogen light but no deep or nasty marks. The disc plays very well.
The Labels / EX+.
Thanks for looking, this will have to be posted via registered mail.
Update 4/5/2021 >>> I have been told this was pressed in the fist half of the 1990`s. I have also been told that only a couple of this 45 have ever surfaced for sale, this is one of the rarest of all UK Beatles pressed singles. It may of been pressed for export for the Spanish market some expert said. This really is super rare!
