Description
An original 1st stereo press of AHDN on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1P-2H. Please note labels are consistent with 1st press. Perimeter text = 'Parlophone'. 'Recording 1st Published' present as is 'SOLD IN UK..' statement. The world STEREO in large text stretching out almost to the end of the 'E' of Parlophone. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original STEREO Garrod & Lofthouse cover.
Vinyl (Ex+) A beautiful copy and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection we could only make out a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. It clearly has seen only light use as there is real transparency in the audio. It really is very impressive and even the quiet tracks play back with great refinement. Interference is almost totally absent. Interference is minimal. All we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of spots [literally] the whole way through. This is a final upgrade for audio without a doubt...
Cover (Vg+) Might grade higher, but for that damage to the rear flipback. Nice and shiny front, without fading, but exhibiting a couple of creases. The rear which is often found suffering a great deal of fading seems to have almost totally avoided it. The only things that stand out are the initials written in the top-middle and the flipback damaged on the bottom flap. There's some edge wear, which is slightly more noticeable on the spine. But the text on the spine is mostly still readable. Overall the cover still retains very nice rigidity.
