Description
For auction is an interestingly rare example of a U.K. first issue of The Beatles great album ABBEY ROAD
The original sleeve is in excellent condition with a fully intact and readable spine and minimal wear. No writing or tears. Has the 1st issue mistake of the misaligned Apple logo.
The record is visually and sonically VG+, with only minor scuffs and hairlines. Side two label also does not list the track Her Majesty, showing it is a true first issue.
Now this is where it gets interesting - the first side has the matrix number A-3U, which was normally only used for export copies on the Parlophone label. It is incredibly rare to have a U.K. issue pressed with this matrix. Not surprisingly the stamper number is very low - 1P.
Side two has the normal U.K. issue matrix number and the stamper is 5ROT.
