Original 1st US Mono pressing factory sealed copy of The Beatles’ 5th album released by Capitol Records on December 15, 1964. In the US the album became the blockbuster by moving from the 99th spot to the 1st one which has been the fastest jump in the history of the Billboard Album Charts. Beginning with January 1965, “Beatles’65” remained there for 8 weeks. It’s interesting that the success of this album was so groundbreaking that many artists added the number “65” to their album title, for example “Sinatra’65”. Original 1st print cover of this currently listed copy remains factory sealed and symbolizes four seasons of the year with the main photo representing the winter rains with all of the band members sitting under the umbrella, which was also used on The Beatles’ “4-By The Beatles” 7” 45 RPM EP released by Capitol in February 1965. The author of these staged scenes and photographer was Robert Whitaker who was The Beatles’ staff photographer. Without any doubts this copy is the very early 1st pressing copy which was pressed in between June and September of 1964. It can be stated with confidence because through the fully intact shrink wrap of the cover’s mouth one can see the blue color of the inner sleeve. Only the very early copies of this issue were equipped with the blue inner sleeve which was quickly replaced with the orange “Teen Set” inner sleeve. The back cover contains the RIAA “3” factory designator at the bottom right corner identifying this copy as the Capitol Records, Scranton, PA plant pressing. It’s very hard to find this album in a factory sealed condition and this is the first time we’ve found it in several years.

The album is in stunning Mint Minus condition with only the top left corner having a very light and barely noticeable push-in. Aside from that, the record is in stunning condition with the fully intact shrink wrap containing two original breathe holes on the back cover and not having any splits, tears or missing pieces.
