For Sale by Original Owner - The Beatles Collection Box Set BC13 made in England with 13 Albums (14 Vinyl LPs) and included photos, poster and insert
I bought this set new in 1988. I opened it and checked out the individual albums and the photos and poster included with the White Album and insert included with Sgt. Pepper's. Everything was so pristine I decided not to play the albums, just keep the set in unused condition for a while. I had most of the Beatles on CDs and didn't want to risk damaging these perfect albums. As time went on, there were several times when I listened to the White Album and Abbey Road lps to do comparisons with the CD versions. And yes I believe there is a fullness and richness these albums have over CDs, but still wanted to limit use to keep this set in nice condition.
I played the White Album, Abbey Road and Yellow Submarine three or four times each and not once since about 1992. I don't believe any of the other albums have been played, only removed to look at them once or twice.
The box has two spots on the top, minor wear on the corners and a small tear on the left and right side of the front flap, see photos.
The covers and sleeves are in excellent to near mint condition, some minor imperfections I noticed:
- Please Please Me cover has light scratches
- Rubber Soul cover has a slight crease on the lower part of the side edge
- the White Album cover has a very very light smudge most likely from rubbing against the next album cover, see photo
- Rarities cover has a satin black background that shows scratches, hard to show in a photo
As stated, there are minor imperfections on the box and some of the album covers, so if you are looking for a 100% perfect set this is not for you.
