Description
Here is the hard cardboard picture cover to The Beatles' EP "Four By The Beatles" from May, 1964 on Capitol EAP 1-2121. This sale is for the cover only.
The unusual thing about this copy is the sticker on the front cover, which says ""From The Sound Capitol Of The World." I have seen this sticker on Capitol open reel tapes, but never on an EP or an LP! It is only on one side of the EP cover.
I rated this cover as VG because it has wear to both sides of the cover and because 1) there is about 2" of old tape
at the bottom of the cover, probably closing up a seam split and 2) there is a 2 1/2" seam split at the top of the cover.
What it has going for it is that it is an original Beatles item from May, 1964, only three months after their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show. Also, it is the cover to a very rare Beatles EP. The cover (and the record) in Mint condition would price out at about $600.00!
However, in this VG condition, the cover is still a nice example of an original 1964 piece of Beatles memorabilia!
