Description

Original 1st Press of Help on the UK Parlophone label from 1965. Matrix -2/-2. Stampers 4-MDD/5-ALG. Importantly the track 'I Need You' has a space before the asterix (*) and this is indicative of 1st issue. To be precise it is 'variation C' of the 1st issue. The Lp comes housed in an original Garrod & Lofthouse cover including Emitex inner sleeve.
Vinyl (Ex) Has clearly only seen light use and remains in fantastic condition. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with minimal interference. Yes, there's a couple of static crackles occasionally, but even this is relatively minor. Actual audio quality is excellent and this well preserved original Mono copy delivers a top rendition. [please note- side 2 label has an 'S' drawn in black over the yellow pound sign icon]
Cover (Ex) Remains in great condition and, I can tell you, it's a real struggle finding a truly white copy of this iconic album. This copy is about as nice I've seen and clearly has been very carefully looked after. The rear is in great condition too with almost no fading at all - this really is very unusual. The spine is 100% intact and overall the cover retains great rigidity. It won't be easy tracking down a copy as nice as this specimen.
