Description
An original 3rd Press of LIB on the UK Apple label from 1972/3. Matrix 3U/3U. The vinyl comes housed in an immaculate looking Garrod & Lofthouse cover...pristine looking because I've literally just removed the cover from its original shrink-wrap [it was not fully sealed]. Also included is the original generic EMI Patent no.s inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In very nice condition indeed and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection we can make out a few of those light/superficial marks - the sought that are unlikely to sound. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are pretty much silent and the audio comes across with great clarity. The audio quality is excellent as you would expect from one of these relatively early pre-oil crisis lps. Interference is very minor and infrequent. All we detected was a couple of crackles in a few isolated moments...i.e. very little at all. Rest assured this a very very nice player and manages to deliver an impressive rendition from start to finish.
Cover (Ex+) Wowzers...I've just taken the original shrink-wrap away from the cover and underneath is the best looking LIB cover I've ever witnessed. Literally shiny like new and showing no surface wear at all - like every single other copy will do by now. There are a couple of tiny stress creases at the edges, but other than back and front are mirror like! Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. The only vaguely noticeable defect is a one inch patch of light wear in the middle of the top edge. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and lies totally flat. This is one impressive looking specimen!
Inner (Ex) Barely any ageing. No side splits.
