Description
Beatles - Meet The Beatles - This late stereo first pressing has the 4th revised colorband label on their 1st album. In Bruce Spizers book this pressing is coded CAP 2047.SR4A, meaning a East coast stereo pressing and mostly BMI song credits. One of the last runs for the original colorband pressing. Back cover, bottom right has the printers reference number 9, which came into play in 1967. The 2nd colorband pressing (Subsidiary of) started being used in late 1968.The album cover is protected by a thin frail plastic wrap. Underneath the wrap is a beautiful album cover!!
The play grade for this album is VG++ a great listen! The vinyl is really quiet, no back ground noise at all. The visual grade is as nice and clean as it gets vinyl VG++. Record labels rate VG+ they have a few spindle marks.
Album cover is STILL protected by a thin plastic wrap. Plastic has a couple tears (see pics.). Top and bottom right corners show small pushes. All corners show some slight rounding. Original record sleeve is stored in the album cover and now the vinyl is protected by a mofi rice paper sleeve. The whole package is housed in a 6mm outer sleeve. THIS VINYL LOOKS AND SOUNDS BRAND NEW!!!
All opened albums are clean using a Audio Desk Ultra Sonic cleaner.
Records are played graded using my VPI Prime Signature turntable using a Fatboy tonearm driving a Ortofon A95 Cartridge, Zesto phono preamp and Zesto preamp, Pass Labs mono blocks driving Sonus Faber Elipsa SE speakers.
