     Here is a unique Beatles LP. It is a BBC Transcription disc from the 1960's. These were used by radio stations in the UK. This one  was a means of transmitting a show titled "Top of the Pops." "Top of the Pops"  was a weekly radio show that featured the top British recording stars of the day. It was the world's longest-running weekly music show, running from 1964- 2006. Each act on this show played LIVE! On this disc,The Beatles play three songs LIVE! The following acts and songs are performed on here:

Dusty Springfield- I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself 12. The Beatles- A Hard Day's Night 13. Brian Poole And The Tremeloes- Baby Blue 14. The Magil Five- Big Blue Beat 15. Mark Wynter- Memphis 16. Brian Poole And The Tremeloes- Someone Someone 17. Dusty Springfield- Tossing And Turning 18. The Beatles- Things We Said Today 19. Outro Music and Brian Matthew sign off
     The Beatles plays all three of their songs live!
     Since "A Hard Day's Night" and "Things We Said Today" are included here (plus "Long Tall Sally") and those songs were on the "A Hard Day's Night" LP from 1964, then this transcription disc is from 1964!
     The disc has a slight edge warp to it which is only on the outer edge and does NOT affect the music (or spoken parts), especially in the inner grooves where the Beatles tracks are. I have an average turntable and it has no problem playing this disc. The sound is crisp and clear! I am grading it Near Mint because of the warp, although the vinyl looks, feels and plays Mint otherwise. It is doubtful that this disc was ever played by a radio station. It is THAT clean!
