THE BEATLES
'BEATLES FOR SALE'
1964 UK 1st **MONO** PRESSING LP
**NEAR MINT**
This near mint 1964 first mono pressing is on the UK black & yellow Parlophone label: PMC 1240
Both labels carry the 'Sold in UK..' text and 'Parlophone Co Ltd...' rims.
The 'KT' tax/price code is visible on the centre of the side 1 label.
Housed in a fully laminated, gatefold cover with internal 'flipbacks'.
Complete with its original near mint 'Use Emitex' lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XEX 503-3N & XEX 504-3N
Stamper numbers: 1/GRO & 2,5/PL
Labels: NEAR MINT
Visual: NEAR MINT
The disc appears 'shop fresh' with pristine high gloss surfaces
Having examined the surfaces closely under a halogen desk lamp, the only marks visible are a few hairlines from initial sleeve removal, nothing else.
There are no scuffs, scratches, 'bag rash' or other marks visible on either side.
100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.
Audio: NEAR MINT
This disc has clearly only been played carefully a few times and the sound quality really is superb.
All tracks are loud, warm and clear with no audible wear. Both run-ins and all bands play silently without interference.
A great way to experience and re-evaluate this much maligned mono mix.
Cover: NEAR MINT
So rare and hard to find this cover in such a fine condition as this copy is. This cover looks like it has just been bought home from the shop.
The fragile front leaf is in great shape retaining its glossy laminate with just a hint of wear to the right corners, but the edges are all sharp and unworn.
There is no creasing or damage to the laminate on the front panel and no creases or wrinkles to the spine whatsoever.
The inside gatefold is black and clean with fading or discolouration. The edge of the pocket where the record is housed is completely unworn.
The rear panel is near perfect with just a tiny (2cm) wrinkle near the lower corner. The corners are sharp, square and unbumped.
The spine is perfect - square and white and retains its original factory 'pinching' at either end.
A fantastic example and very hard to upgrade.
