Description

The Beatles Please Please Me Mono One EMI box PMC 1202 - very rare

The Beatles very last original 60's Mono "Please Please Me" LP was on this label.

These are simply non existent as so few were actually pressed. Who at the time (1969/70) would want to specially order a Mono album of the Beatles' first album when Abbey rd and The White Lp were out? If anything it would be Stereo as they were then the standard.

Hence the price I suppose.

This one looks in Excellent condition. Really nice sound to it and it is pretty quiet between tracks though it obviously hasn't been played more than 10 or so times and the last time (apart from today) was probably 10 years ago. With beautiful labels, it's just a shame side two has a light needle mark at the end of the last track which surprisingly plays with only one light click at the very last second on the fade out. As can be seen, this is not very deep and looks worse than it actually is.

I only ever managed to find 3 of these and this actual one is on here:

Stampers are just 1,5 RLA / 6 RM (same as all) as was pressed for one small run only. Originally believed to be under 250 ever made, it is evident it is more like less than 100, and the last two went for £750 according to Popsike, and they both had issues.

This one is Excellent/Excellent- and very clean!

Cover and Inner are nice as well.

Please bid with confidence and please see my other listings past and present. Thanks
