Here I have a respectable copy of PPM in Mono…
PMC 1202…1963……
Side one…..XEX 421…1N…1..G… ..could be one of the first pressed
Side two…..XEX..422..1N..1..R…..could be one of the first pressed
Vinyl has a lovely sheen to it,has marks,hairlines….scratch on boys…….
Test played prior to listing….
I have put good + but played the album quite a few times and in my opinion it plays very good apart from Boys…….
Side one….1 …Boys…. Last two revolutions stick with light pickup and plays through with a heavier pickup…….or with a coin placed on the arm…..minimal noise on some tracks
Side two…
Does have a little noise in between tracks but minimal…….60 years old…..
So maybe a good clean on one of those cleaning machines…
If you look closely at side two you will see that the label is different to normal EMI pressed Beatles albums,I have researched for a good few years and just recently have come up with a few clues,if you look at the Pye and Polyodor labels in the photos you will see a close resemblance.We all know that Decca,Philips,Pye POLYDOR,,Oreole pressed A few records as EMI could not handle the volume at the time.
POLYDOR actually pressed early singles so just maybe they pressed this album at their plant,don’t know for sure but who knows…….
Minimal spindle wear…..
MT Tax code….used from Jan-July 1963 by Parlophone so fits the time factor when Please Please Me was released…22-3-1963..this could be one of the first pressed….
Sleeve in a respectable clean condition with just scuffing to 3 of the corners,a little creased in places…..one small strip of clear tape on the reverse of the sleeve.
CORRECT FIRST PRESS SLEEVE….

I bought this album in the condition that it is in as I wanted this holy grail for my collection,the record was played to me and I was only to happy to buy it..
Most importantly a good respectable buy it now price..
Will have to go by Special delivery……
